Friday...

Just in time for the end of the week...

a peek at some projects in my work space...

 

Its the beginning of the end...

He is on his way to being mobile. There goes the little bit of sanity I had left. 

In knitting news... I hear there's a sneak peek of one of my new designs up somewhere. 

 

This is Zeke...

Zeke is really happy today because it finally stopped raining and the sun is shining even if it is supposed to rain again tomorrow. April showers bring May flowers and all.

Anyway, Zeke is up there trying to help me get your attention so you won't miss what's coming up. The next few weeks will be exciting and will include sneak peeks, new releases, and even a give away or a few.

You can be certain that the quieter it is here on the blog the rowdier things are around the house. Bubba has "found his voice" and spends a good part of his day with a huge toothless grin on his face while he screeches at the top of his lungs. Sounds like a mix between a screech owl and a pterodactyl. Cute but loud. Really loud.

There are baby chicks in the dining room, seed sprouts in the living room, and bean plants in the front window. 

The typical spring restlessness that seems to settle over all of us about this time every year has obviously returned and we're all busy planning, hoping, and preparing for all manner of things.

I'm gonna go throw open the windows now.

 

Tater designs...

So lately Tater has been spending lots of time in my scrap box digging for fabric, cutting, and taping. She says she's "making her own clothes... and some for Bubba".

Here's a vest and hat she designed just for Bubba modeled by Bubba himself under her direction.

Wonder where she got that idea?

Snakes and snails and puppy dog tails...

 And robots!

Yea. I'm still talk'in up the sewing side of things while I finish up the knitting side of things. Good news is there will be posts, links, and tutorials when its all ready.

Anyway... I sure am glad that there's finally some really great fabric out there for boys. Lately I've seen some really awesome spaceship/robot/planet/airplane/helicopter stuff. Etsy is a great place to search as you can find lots of choices from various manufacturers all in the same place. And most Etsy sellers are way nice and super helpful.

I got this custom bundle from Fabric Bee on Etsy. She made my custom listing and shipped it super quick. Robots collection from David Walker. 

I really love this print because its all robots and spaceships but its so friendly and light. Perfect for a wee boy.

And there's also tons of fresh, pretty fabric for girls. Ya know... like for smocking...
