Remember this little duo?
Well here ya go...
See, every now and then I finish something!
This is another version of the cute little skirt I made for Tater using a pattern from a Japanese sewing book a while back. The first one was a double layer skirt but we did just a single layer this time. This skirt is so easy to make and fits so nice. The front has pressed pleats and the back has an elastic casing.
Stay tuned for a look at the little knit blouse that matches the skirt. I love my Japanese sewing books so much that I was inspired to design a sweet little knit based on the simple shapes and soft colors of the sewing patterns in the books. I'll show you how I got there and make the pattern available for sale later this week.

Is this just a rectangle with an elastic on top - I need a black skirt today - quick - for an adjudication. I had a black velvet skirt for my daughter, but we did a closet clean out a couple of weeks ago and I think it got sent out by accident - ugh!!! Now I'm cooked. ~Page

This skirt is adorable. So is the double layer one. I'm so excited for warmer weather so I can make some skirts for my daughter.

That is super cute. I'm going to have to make my little one some skirts! And maybe some tops to match!

Jealous over here! I love love love this little outfit. And I still owe you one for turning me onto those Japanese books - though my husband might not think it's a good thing since I keep buying them!
