Well that sucked.
Turned out I have bronchitis.
Mac Daddy drug me kicking and wheezing to the 24 hour health care joint down the road over the weekend and then played "I told ya so" all afternoon. I guess he gets points for that one.
And while I was in a fevered delirium (no joke... I really was there for a little while) tucked into my favorite chair in the living room and wrapped in blankets while the rest of the county was planting posies and enjoying the sunshine I happened to get a glimpse out the back door.
On my way to find a pair of wool socks I grabbed the camera and snapped a few. Seems Mac Daddy and Flash got a lot done while I was all aflutter in yarny dreams.
Apparently even while I am drugged I tend to whine and plead and sound really pitiful because the next thing I knew that pergola I've been wanting was growing right there on the deck outside the door.
It was almost worth being sick. Almost.
So now on my first day of feeling anything like myself I can see that pergola out the back door with its boston ferns and herbs and beautiful view of the mountain that is responsible for calling us back here.... back home.
Unfortunately... the neighbor up-wind is having his lane paved today so between the sound of the equipment and the acrid smell of tar and diesel I'm wishing I was still congested enough to not smell anything.
I suppose its for the best though because I've got tons of stuff to catch up on. A few sick days feels like I've been away for weeks. And Thank You for the concerned emails.
PS... anybody else heading to Maryland this weekend?
I'll be at MDS&W with the bosslady. If you're going to be there, let me know and I'll swing by and say hello!

Boy am I glad to hear that you're feeling better! That whole mess about swine flu started coming out right after your post about being sick. (Yes, I am good at finding things to worry about.)
That pergola is really beautiful! I can see where I'd be spending the rest of my spring at your house!

I'm interested in the fabric too--a marine upholstery perhaps? Glad you're better. Now don't go catching sheep flu at MDS&W! Hee hee!

Beautiful pergola! May I ask what type of fabric you used to cover it? (outdoor, plain cotton, etc.)
Thanks!

Glad to hear you are better. I would love to see you at the Sheep and Wool Festival. Are you going to be in a particular booth?

Glad you're back from the land of delirium.
Great little area out back! I need to work on Handyman to get something like that here. But he's got refinishing work to do... But there are some shade trees.
Glad you're better.
