I. Am. So. Sick.
I managed all winter with not as much as a sniffle and now that spring is in full swing and I have a million things to do... I'm bogged down by something more than a cold but just short of an epidemic.
I am 35 years old and still don't understand how a human body can store this much mucus and still live.
I'm having fevered dreams of soft yarn and bright fabric, and nightmares of angry editors and looming deadlines but I don't have the energy or the wherewithal to do anything about any of it.
I'm surviving on hot tea and buttered English muffins. I'm not really sure what the kids are surviving on... whatever is in the fridge, I suppose.
I can only be thankful that there's no one in diapers and that they can all forage in a well stocked fridge enough to keep them going for a few days. The Eldest even simmered me some noodle soup at lunch today. Doodle made Tater a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
I shall resurface as soon as possible.
It took me a cup of tea, a cough lozenge, and 4 tissues to type this.
Hope you are feeling better soon!

Is anyone else worried?

Feel better! We'll all be here when you're well again!

Oh, I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Feeling sick in nice weather is the worst of all punishments, in my opinion.

Feel better!

I don't know ANY editors who would EVER get angry! I hope you feel better soon!

Yeah, it's hitting here in Oklahoma too. I think it's the rapid weather changes from hot to cold and back again that's mucking around with our immune systems.
If you're having fever, chills and sweats with this, get thee to a doctor quick. Hubby's cold turned into pneumonia!
Get well soon, sweetie!
P.S. I like the Sudacare Shower Tabs to help relieve congestion. You put them in a hot steamy shower, and they release a menthol vapor.

I second the ginger tea -- that's wonderful stuff that is.

Ginger tea....get some ginger root, peel it, slice off a few chunks and simmer in a pot of water for ten minutes. Strain, add honey and lemon and drink up....does wonders for cough, sore throat, and mucous!

I hope you feel better quickly. I've got it too and it just lingers.

I'm just coming off of something similar. HOpe you feel better soon!

Rest as long as possible, and don't try to do too much to soon. This stuff takes a long time to get over and comes back with revenge if you get too ambitious!! Been there, done that! Hope your's is a much milder case!

Oh honey… get plenty of rest. Everything else can, and will, wait.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry you're feeling so sick. Go sit out in the bright sun (if you can find some. Supposed to be nice this weekend in the NorthEast). Likely won't do much for the illness, but it's sure to make you feel a bit better!
