Well the little doll now has her little shoes. Thanks so much for the compliments on her as well as the requests for a pattern. Its an idea I've been fiddling with for a while now and I can say that I am moving in that direction. There's a bit more to do (I'm think'in she needs a sweater) and some logistics to work out but she'll be back soon.

Have you seen the latest issue of Piecework? Its a fabulous little magazine, one I have a subscription to. This issue is the 3rd Annual Historical Knitting issue and includes the beautiful hat on the cover from no other than Alice Starmore. How can you not love that?
But here's what really got me... I'm tell'in you there may not be any Knitting Police but I do think there is some sort of Knitting Karma or fairy or something because just when I started feeling really clever for having figured out the 2 socks at once thing this falls on my head...
2 socks at once... one inside the other?!? Good grief!
Sock knitters are a clever people.
I totally want to make that bonnet on the cover, even though I'd totally keep it for myself instead of putting it on a baby.

Not this sock knitter. I can't wrap my feeble brain around the 2 circs or 2 on 2 circs, etc. Makes my eyes cross. Isn't Piecework published by Interweave?
