It seems I've been tagged by Tammy for a meme thinger so here ya go...

Here's my 7 things:
1. When I was 17 and I got busted for drag racing on a major highway slightly south of the town I live in now.
2. My dad has always been a car buff and thus, when I was a teenager, one of my first cars was a muscle car. (See above.)
3. I'm a big dud when it comes to romantic-girly stuff. I don't watch mushy-chick-flick movies and I don't like romantic cliche crap.
4. I love cheesy sci-fi movies. Given the opportunity I'll spend Saturday afternoons knitting and watching movies like Dino-Croc and Snakehead Terror. This past weekend Planet of the Apes was on. I can't wait for new episodes of BSG.
5. I am an animal enthusiast and am especially fond of reptiles and other misunderstood creepy-crawlies. I have, at one time or another, lived with several pythons, a black emperor scorpion, a bearded dragon, and iguanas. Things are pretty tame now with just Newton (Leopard tort) and 5 Madagascar Hissing cockroaches. (Yesterday we took the kids for a road trip to Reptile Land!)
6. I'm pretty sure I'm borderline OCD or something. I have things I insist on doing in order. If I have a plan in my head for a certain span of time and that plan gets derailed for some reason I feel completely lost and confused. Events that get canceled because of bad weather or whatever leave me wandering around the house trying to get my focus back.
7. I truly believe humor and honesty can defuse many tense moments, heal many deep wounds, and carry us through many dark hours.
8. I often forget to take my own advice (see above).
9. I apparently can't count on Mondays.

Love it! Your knitting asthetic always looks so elegant. I never would have guessed drag racing and reptiles.

Hm, I'll have to brew on this one a while. I'm with you on #3. I'll only watch if I'm allowed to make wisecracks.
