go buy a tortoise!
Well, okay, I’m sure that of all the things you thought I might say that probably wasn’t one of them.
But I did. I bought a tortoise. A very tiny tortoise.
He’s a Leopard tortoise. His name is Newton and he brightens my day.
(Yarn shown for scale...and to get your attention because after all you are here for the yarn, right?)
No, I haven’t lost my marbles. I’ve actually wanted a tortoise for a very long time.
Tortoises just seem so calm and wise. Its almost like they are just observing the world as it goes by. Little left over dinosaurs.
Now...about those knitting patterns...
Starting Monday my patterns will be available right here on the blog. They will be available to purchase as a download.
The first one will go up on Monday and there will be a new one available everyday until they are all up.
Here’s a run down of the newest patterns that will be available:
After the new ones are up I’m going to add the older patterns that have already been released. I think it will be nice to have them all in one place.
The adult version of the Luna Trail Pullover is going well and will be added to the collection when its finished and written up.

looks like your little one is really growing up - God Bless her - just way too cute .... and such a perfect model ....

What a sweet little tortoise, my son and I have wanted one for a couple years and he's on a push to get one for his upcoming birthday. Too sweet.

When I saw Newton's pic I thought: "Wow. What an adorable tortoise - so detailed, he is stunning, where did she find that?"
I read on but had to look at him again and realized Newton is a REAL tortoise!
I thought it was a model to sit with the matching wool - thus the impressed response to his 'details'.
I saw one of his little feet wasn't touching the ground and had to enlarge the picture.
Oh, he is too beautiful. Will he be inspiring a knit?
I do think they are calm, sufficient beings as well.

What a cutie! He'd be a nice inspiration for a colorwork motif...
A lot of great new patterns you have ready to release.

Welcome, Newton. My husband inherited a desert tortise when his grandma past away. It was in the will, I swear. Josephine has since passed as well as she was very old but she was a fun pet to have. I love the wee one though, might have to look it to one.
Great new patterns coming up...exciting about the hooded scarf and the shawl but I really love the look of your daughter in the raglan. She is just so darn proud of herself.

I LOVE NEWTON! I love turtles/tortoises, too; for exactly the same reason. They seem so wise and self-sufficient. You can't imagine any storm pr crisis really rattling them, they just pull in and wait things out.
LOVE the hooded scarf, btw. I'll get there, too.
